central heating lp241

hi. Help. I have a IDEAL classic boiler , controled by a drayton lifestyle LP241 hot water and heating controler.

My problem is that my central heating does not work. the hot water is ok.
the radiators get warm when the hot water comes on. As the boiler works for the hot water, it must be ok?. the programmer goes through its setting function but nothing happens, I have already tried a new room thermostate but this did not work.The valve lets the radiators get warm when the hot water comes on. so it appears its either the programmer or pump?.

to save the cost of buying the wrong item can anybody help ?.

It sounds like the motorised valve (probably in the airing cupboard). You've either got one 3port mpv OR 2 zone valves (2ports).
