As already advised you will need to get everything circulating before you can use chemicals to flush it, the chemicals dont clear blockages
Yes I know. I have a heating engineer coming round to get it going. I have a million and one jobs
Did the pump run ok when out? Did you have to drain a lot of water when you removed the pump? Can you open the gate valves a bit too see if water is there?
Did you shove something all the way down the flutes of the impeller to make sure its completely free?
I your 3 way valve in the right position?
I drained the system as I said earlier, but some rads are still full. I closed the valves either side of the pump so hardly any water came out. I will check the impeller again though. I checked that the pump was running after I had the intial problem by taking out the central screw. The system worked OK prior to me changing the radiator and I didn't touch any valves so it should work now, so it must be blocked or an air lock.
