In the last week or so I noticed that when the central heating was on the pressure of my boiler went up above 3bar and started to leak. I knocked the heating off and let it settle back down again, it continued to do this even with just over 0.5bar pressure when cold.
A friend of mine had a look and said he thought the radiator control dial was not doing it's job, so I bought a new potentiometer and harness. He fitted this today for me but it made no difference, the heating just stayed on and the pressure continued to rise regardless of whether the radiator dial set to 1 or 6.
Anyone got any ideas what it might be? I've spent a good while 'Googling' and couldn't find anything.
Thanks.
