Central Heating not working...help!!

Hi all,
I wonder if anyone can see if this is an easily remedied problem or not, before I call out a boiler person...?
I have a Vokera mynute 10e boiler. Hot water seems to be working fine but the heating won't come on. I've checked that the thermostat is turned right up and the radiators are on.
I've opened the bottom panel on the front of the boiler and there is a dial numbered 0-5 and this is reading 0.
There is also a small glass panel on the front (I thought this could be the hole where you see the pilot light but could be wrong!!) but there is no flame.
Any help would be very much appreciated,

sounds like you need to refill your heating system, is there a silver hose with a valve on it under neath your boiler? the pressure guage on your boiler should be at one on the dial at least.
you should bleed your radiators after filling too..

There is indeed a silver hose with a valve on it underneath the boiler. Do I merely need to turn the valve or is there anything else I need to do?

Not sure if this will make things any clearer?...Further to my last post, I've just peered up under the bottom of the boiler and there are 3 valves tucked up there - one labelled 'gas input', one labelled 'heating flow' and one labelled 'heating return'.

The long silver hose with the valve on the end leads down from the 'heating return' valve.

Shouldn't need to touch any of those 3 valves, just the one on the end (or each end) or the silver filling loop.

Fill boiler to just over 1 on the guage. You may need to bleed the rads afterwards, then top up the pressure again.

Also check for any leaks/drips anywhere that could have caused the pressure to drop.

I tried to turn the valve on the end of the silver pipe but it didn't do anything. I think the pipes where I need to attach the filing loop are actually down behind my washing machine and I can't shift it (despite my best efforts!) so will probably call in the experts - thankfully my landlord is paying...

I managed to root out the service and user manuels and unfortunately the diagram they show of the pipes coming from the boiler, and the places for attaching the filing loop, don't correlate whatsoever with what I seem to have!! Always helpful!
