I want to replace my underfloor heating programmer (why because its a crap Digital RSP ). When the batteries need replacing it dose not retain the programme & its not easy to reprogram.
There is such a choice out there, I thought I would look for recommendations. Its a single channel, I am guessing its 2 wire.
I do not require remote or anything fancy, the main system is on a Honeywell wireless & its brilliant.
So please give some recommendations.

I call a programmer something with a timer & temperature. There seems to be a bit of a mix when searching or have I got it wrong?

Ok, with no suggestions & after lots of searches, I have gone for: Honeywell CM907

Did it work? I looked at the specifications for wireless programmable thermostats, not underfloor they need two sensors, I selected Horstmann HRFS1 it seemed very good for price, however it slowly lost RF link, and turned out to be useless, the old Honeywell Y6630D however is working fine, but read the adverts and the Horstmann HRFS1 seems better.

The problem with underfloor heating is it needs two sensors, it has to stop the floor getting too hot as well as doing room temperature, with a wet system you could set the boiler so water does not exceed 27°C or have some other device to limit the floor temperature, but normally one would use a thermostat with two sensors one for air temperature and one for floor temperature.

If there is some device to limit floor temperature then the Honeywell CM907 seems good, but it would not be what I would consider a unit designed to work with under floor heating.

What utter twaddle.
This is a typical under floor heating thermostat Supplied with a 3 Meter Remote Floor Probe, This thermostat allows you to switch between 3 sensing modes. (AIR, AIR & FLOOR, or FLOOR ONLY), in some cases there is a mechanical water temperature control valve.

when these are fitted there is no need for the floor probe and air only sensing for the thermostat is OK, without knowing what is installed no one can really answer your question as to best thermostat.

It would be nice to think every under floor heating system had the valve gear as shown, however in real life that is not the case.

I don't need wireless, my underfloor works very well, the problem is the programmer, loses memory when batteries are replaced & its not easy to reset.
My underfloor has a rad valve thermostat that is sensing & controlling the water temp.
