I have oil central heating and hot water which is switched off and on by a Potterton programmer,
The unit was switched off last week while we where away on holidays and when it was switched back on on our return it is four days behind on the settings, i have tried to sort this with the clock settings but it always returns to four days behind, do these programmers have batteries inside to hold information or is the unit knackered?

You can reset the programmer by pressing + & - buttons at the same time and see if it helps.

The settings are stored for 12 hours so you would have to leave the power off for longer than this to see if you can re-enter all settings.
