hi
its a halstead finest gold thats 7 years old, apart form having to top up pressure at filling loop everything else is fine but it does drop regularly

introducing fresh water will, over a period of time, cause problems - mainly corrosion.

try draining a radiator then turn it back on but dont bleed it, it will then act as a temp exp vessel and you shouldnt have to keep topping the system up - providing your diagnosis is correct

It could also be that you have a leak on the system somewhere. Leaking rad valve? Underfloor?

good call mick the idea of draining down a rad seems to be working, how long is it possible to do this for as due to time of year a gasfitter with time to do the job is like rocking horse poo
