Pump seems to be running are the pipes getting hot after the pump and how far can you follow the heat, you need to find a motorised valve.

You say the hot water is ok at the cylinder

would pay to check the header tank has water init

pipes hot after pump cant follow it far but the tank upstairs and the pipes around it aeem hot enough. a motorised valve would there def be one and would it be on a rad? header tanks full

it would suggest sludge or an air lock somewhere then

maybe worth flushing it out with a hose pipe.

Another thought nothings been turned off like a valve

i have checked all rads they are all on and open the one in the front room i took of and flushed it out it was black that came out have put it back on. think i will stick a hosepipe on and drain the lot. if i open the valve to drian it the system should just fill back up its self should it or do i need to do something else to?
