ceramic floor tiling

some of the floor tiles in my house, 4 years old and Barratt quality(!) appear to be rocking and some of the grouting is cracking.

Have I got a big problem or is it a bodge job which can be fixed by a tiler taking them up and re laying?

it sounds like they were not mounted on an even strong base. Or if they were fixed to timber (it is "normal" ) the tmber may have either been nailed down (shouldn't be done) or not enough screws to secure it.

Mr Walsh said something like " the board should be screwed every six inches, as if they are nailed the board will eventualy start to spring" so perhaps take up a few.
