I have an unbranded hob from magnet kitchens I think.

It's maybe 4 yrs old. The front right hob is just on full all the time, so I have to switch the hob off at the main switch on the wall.

Is it an issue that can be repaired or do I just fit a new hob ?

I doubt it's something you can repair yourself, unless you have a good knowledge of electrics/electonics. There might be some kind of reset sequence (like holding down a couple of buttons then applying power), but you'd need to find out the actual model number of the hob to see if that's possible. I'd seek advice from an appliance repair man or just look at replacing it.

Have you cleaned it recently. Perhaps water has got where it shouldn't be and may dry out given time. Is the knob that controls that particular element working correctly ie turning the spindle rather than just spinning on it
