We are currently trying to clean valuables not damage by the fire itself but caked in soot. One piece especially is a ceramic antique and parts of it are fairly fragile. Some small parts have broken off when we tried washing it with a toothbrush, which also takes a very long time. I was wondering if there was a less invasive or at least a better cleaner to use than soap.
