Hi,

Can somebody please explain how to clear a blockage in the feeder pipe of my central heating. I have done the magnet test and there's definitely quite a large blockage. I understand the pipes need to be opened but my questions are:

- Could I empty the system. Close the pump value and force Sentinel X800 (or similar) down the pipe. Hence, the cleaner sits on the blockage and gets to work.

- If I cut the connecting pipe, could I remove the blockage and then use a compression joint to rejoin the pipe?

I am looking to get a powerflush anyway but this would at least get back the heating.

Thanks.

so the magnet trick i said worked ok.

just drain the system down abit bung the feed pipe in the tank and cut the pipe.
just place some towels down as you'll have some water from the cut pipe.

replace section with compressions if you want.
