Challenge Xtreme Chuck Key

Hi all,

I have lost the chuck key for my Challenge Xtreme drill (an argos special)

I recently lost the chuck key, and I tried to buy a replacement, it was a universal chuck key that I got from eBay.

Basically it didn't fit the chuck, the cylinder was too fat to fit into the hole on the chuck. I even popped into Leylands and the chuck keys they had in store also didn't fit into the holes on the chuck.

Would one of you guys be kind enough to shed some light on where I can get a chuck key that fits?

Took me long enough! But, here is the inscription:

1/2-20UNF

Any clues from that?

I think you'll need a Jacobs S2 chuck key for this one, but if you look on ebay there are universal keys - 4 keys in 1, if you like.
The sizes you have given are of the thread on the end of the chuck.

Look on the chuck - any lettering or markings?

I think that is the thread size for fitting the chuck to the drill, useful if you need to replace the chuck.

Take the chuck key you have and file the bit on the end so its narrower.

or drill the hole a bit bigger.
