Hello All

First post here.
I have an Compton style garage with a fibre cement roof (has asbestos), I am going to remove this and want to replace it with a metal sheet system something like Britmet mainly as it is lighter than a new cement one.

The only question I have is how to attach it to the existing internal frame, currently the roof using Avon bolts
https://www.comptonspares.com/compton-garage-spares/#roofing-sheets
would I be able to attach the roof using these (buying new ones)
Had a good look around the internet but cannot find any info and I don't have any experience of drilling metal. I don't want to go to the bother of attaching wooden batons to the metal frame as this seems a bit of a ball ache.

Thanks

Jason

I don't see why you couldn't use the same style fixings.
I would just buy the same cement sheets if I where you
as metal sheets are prone to condensation.

Think your right Catlad, I'm going to go with fibre cement and use the same fixings
