Hi Need some help. We want to change our mains GU10 downlighters as we want more light and hopefully a brighter whiter light. I have been told to go for low voltage but their seam a bewildering choice, Ideally we want flush fitting adjustable with a satin finish. Can anyone offer some advice. Thanks Tonu

In my opinion you would be wasting your money.

there is a slight difference, but you will idealy require a transformer for each light, new fittings, new lamps = kerching for little benefit.

why not buy a couple of floor standing lights and plug them in?

Downlights are called that because they light, in a downward direction.

Surface lamps etc have a much better spread of light, downwards and sideways.

Time to rethink your lighting decisions, perhaps?.
Anyhow, the style gurus are all saying that downlights are soooo "Turn of the Century".
