Change PIR and backup battery on Risco GT490X

I'd like to change the location of a PIR and also do a service change on the battery.
Just wondered whether it was safe to remove all power ( battery and mains ) without losing it's current settings as I don't want to have to re program everything.
Thought it would be wise to avoid a short when rewiring the PIR ?
Also if all power is lost I assume there's no way to stop the external bells sounding until their batteries are dead ?
Any help would be appreciated.

Open control panel lid
Enter code to stop noise
Change battery by disconnecting battery leads.
Take positive side of aux volts out of control panel.
Move pir go new position and rewire
Put positive aux back in
Close lid
Enter code to reset.
