Hello
I recently changed the RDT on my hot water tank because it had stopped working.
When I fitted the new one, I turned the dial all the way to " + " but have found that while the water is very warm it's not properly hot for, say, a bath. It's fine for washing up, etc, but I want it to be as hot as it was before.

Any advice would be gratefully received !

The maximum temperature on these thermostats is 60 degrees. If you have it set to max and you are not getting 60 degrees water temp, the thermostat is probably faulty, or possibly a poor neutral connection.

By the way you need to be qualified to work on unvented. If you dont have your unvented certificate then you should get someone qualified to work on it. Theyre nasty things when they go wrong! Look on youtube if you don 't believe me

Cheers for getting back to me TCCH :)

I do know someone who is qualified so I'll get him to take a look. I don't wanna muck about with the wiring - all I did in the first place was uninstall the original one that had burnt out and then reverse the steps to put in the new one but even then I took photos to make sure I got it right

Thanks again for your advice.
