Changes to petrol over the summer.

They are changing the mix of unleaded petrol over the summer and basically doing away with E5 petrol and replacing it with E10. That’s 10% ethanol. Most modern cars and motorcycles should run on it but if you’re not sure, you can check your car here:

Yes, it's a big problem in my industry (converting and modifying cars) because when the car owner goes on that gov.uk website and sees a cheery message from the base vehicle manufacturer saying that all their cars since (say) 2000 are able to run on E10, he probably won't realise that the conversion company (e.g. who turned it into a wheelchair-accessible vehicle) used hoses back in the day, that were NOT E10 resistant!

They will still have super unleaded which is e5
