i have a bathroom rad wich needs changing, what is the best way to drain it and how do i isolate it before taking it off.

close the valves either end and undo a connector between the valve and rad with a container underneath to catch all the water in the rad. Undo the nuts between the valve and the rad bothe sides, take it off, turn it upside down so it dont leave black water everywhere. Take the radiator tails out of the old rad, into the new one and tighten it all up together.

measure the body of the rad the valves and tails dont count
when you say the body do you mean hight x width
its just that i am worried about getting the new one to match up at the bottom where the valves connect
