Changing a room thermostat

Hello,could anyone advise on the wiring from the old thermostat (in picture) to the new backplate ( picture and instructions in picture)it's the call for heat that's baffling me

I think your old thermostat is only a 2 wire, live and switched, therefore you can’t have the new thermostat because it needs a neutral. Battery operated 2 wire, mains 2 wire or wireless thermostat if that’s the case.
