Hi ppl,

My aav has started spitting water, i have a halstead ace combi boiler, i have read the manual and it seems quite easy. The part is only £20. Although i cant get it until tuesday!

Just wondering if there is anything i should watch out for or any tips/advice anyone can offer?

Thanks

don't use prv or boiler isolating valves or they'll probably leak

Stop tap will probably be just for cold inlet, not the system side.

As Chris says most isolating valves will leak/drip on older boilers if shut then opened.

Had one yesterday

put some plastic between towel and electrics in case you get more water than expected and towel becomes saturated

how should i isolate the boiler then? The boiler is 6 years old.
