Changing an old 3 spot light to a sinlge Rose with Pics

Hi i am trying to change teh spots to a single Rose pictures, it has a seperate 3 block loose!!?
Can you let me know what i am to do as the existing light has 3 main cables with Black/Red and Earth
Which goes with Red as ne light is Blue and Brown?
Please help

All you have to do is copy the existing wiring. It's more simple than it seems.

For a start your 'new' ceiling rose looks like it's knackered, and unsafe, so best buy a new one.

Turn the power off.

Put the black with the red sleeve into the the brass block with the brown wire.

Put the two remaining blacks into the brass block with the blue wire.

Put all the reds into the centre brass block.

Put all the earth (green and yellow) wires into the earth terminal.

Make sure you leave the red sleeve on the black wire. It identifies it is the 'switched live'.

Don't mix up the black wires or you will have problems. Mark it first to be sure.
 
Cheers How does it look knackered? is the clear plastic section for holding the blocks meant to be attached as it swiveled when first got it , but when undoing the whites section of Rose just came off?
