I have dug out a u-trap drain by the side of my house, which previously serviced the kitchen sink. I am going to use this access to my drains for a new toilet being plumbed in upstairs. Now what I have left is a drain hole about 100mm in diameter about 250mm away from the house and about 250mm below the serfice level with a drop of another 250mm (internal drop in the drain)or so before it turns 90 degrees to run almost parrallel to the ground into the main drain. The drain is made of old clay section, and I assume these are jointed together in a bed of mortar. Is there an adaptor which can be inserted into the old clay pipe with a jaggered edge which could then be sealed as I am worried that if I try and dig down to a joint and connect there I will never end up with a clean edge to join to anyway and just make more work than I need to. I hope that make sense.

Thanks Jeremy
