Changing factory fitting on unvented cylinder

I think everyone inc me thought you were not G3
Now Im really confused, If your G3 you've had all the info you need to work on it from your training, just get what you need and change it. UK Spares in Bristol are good but parts are pricey.
I have just installed so far, prefering this due to the safety implications.
Thanks for the pointers!

We have millions of natural gas installations in this country as well. MANY of which have been done by DIY people and still not leaked or exploded?

An idiot driving a care commonly causes fatal road crashes, but strangely proven idiots are still allowed to drive??

An unvented cylinder installed or maintained by an idiot could cause danger or death through an explosion!
I am not one of those idiots.

A householder may not know the risks and few get them serviced. Expect many kaboooooms in the UK in 15 20 years time as the install bases get old.

There are near zero-risk alternatives, so why install a potential bomb? Only fool does that.

The only fool on here with no knowledge other than brochures and press releases is you BB.

But then as the forum fool and the forum laughing stock, I suppose you have a use

If you want to take the advice of someone who is incompetent, unqualified and has never fitted a boiler or unvented cylinder in his life, then go ahead.

All his information is obtained from brochures and the internet, where in both mediums, manufacturers are always going to paint their products in a good light. Just search his previous, outrageous posts on here and then see for yourself. The only posters that appear to agree with him are those that are him using a different 'alias' and talking to himself

You are still dangerous BB and still the laughing stock of this forum

Unvented cylinders have been around for years already and there has never been an 'explosion' with one fitted to UK standards, period.

The only dangerous explosions we get here are those from your mouth BB. Utter tripe as per usual

Strange BB chooses to ignore heatstores that rot the floor when these cylinder start leaking.

Nonsense!!! What about those waiting to blow? failed T&P valves, no servicing, etc, etc. Expect many kaboooooms in the future.

The basic principle of a body of hot water under pressure relying on mechanical devices to prevent a steam explosion, which could result in devastating consequence, is the same in any country on this earth.

They are a waste of time and those who fit them are irresponsible.

BB

Just in case we're all fast asleep when one does go Kabooooom in the UK, any chance you'll let us know

Do you want to see bodies first? Stop being silly. Look at the links and what was posted. A T&P valve failed on one which took off through the roof and landed a few streets away. T&P valves are on UK cylinders. In the UK they have to be serviced (£100 per year) and if not the T&P valve can seal up solid over time if not opened or tested and a failure .............boooooooooooom. The text I posted emphases servicing. Will this be done on all of these cylinders? Not course not.

Many of these cylinders are time bombs. There are near zero-risk superior alternatives: high flow combis and vented heat banks. Use one of those.

BB, where on earth do you come up with this drivel about £100 or an annual service

Showing yourself up to be a laughing stock again you forum fool

BB, do you drive a car? Do you travel by air, sea or rail? Do you have gas in your property?

If the answer is yes to any of the above, then why? All have been proven to create dead bodies many times over, and will continue to do so for the foreseeable future

Un-vented cylinders haven't. Period
