a friend has a baxi bermuda back boiler and fire in his new house but doesn't like the fire and would like to change it. Is this possible? And are straight swaps possible / straighforward? Or does it involve a new boiler too?

depends what model of back boiler, check out the baxi website for more info, although the replacment fire fronts arnt all that nice looking.

they come as a unit and cannot be separated with other firte you could get a new fire but it as to be to same model
you can get renewal fire fronts but as jason said it depends on the boiler model

i was lead to believe that you can fit different fire fronts but if the back boiler goes then its a complete backboiler and fire. That was from baxi
