I have a bath filler tap on my basin (long story). Anyway, it works fine, and doesn't even look that bad. But because of the shape of the end of the spout (sort of elliptical), the water cascades unevenly out of it. This wouldn't be a problem for a bath, but in a basin a more concentrated stream would be better. I can get this effect by sticking a blob of blu-tac to either side of the spout (on the inside!) but I can't see this lasting any period of time
I was thinking about whether some kind of putty could be used, and if so, what? One issue I can think of is that sometimes people drink water from that tap, so whatever method I use would need to be suitable for drinking.
If anyone has any suggestions (unless it's "replace your tap"), or can think of any problems doing this might cause, I'd really appreciate hearing them.
TIA,
