changing old fuse wired consumer box to rcd/mcb consumer box

Hi.

Before you decide to take the DIY road, it might be wise to take the cover off the unit and look to see if any of the existing circuits have been run in MICC or steel conduit. Routine for the pro to deal with when changing consumer units - but the DIYer can sometimes encounter difficulties. (In a worst case scenario, MICC tails age harden and occasionally snap off at the pot when you're re-routing them). If you're okay working with MICC and conduit (or, of course, if there's none there) then there's obviously no problem with this issue. Just a thought...

PS (5 minutes later) Sorry - just realised you were looking for quote advice, not info on how to do it yourself! Oh well... :(
