Hi,
Hope you can help, I have an outside tap (think I got it from Wickes or one of the DIY places years ago),anyway, it comes through the wall and I think it had a push fit connector on it ( Its certainly not a compression and its plastic), the fitting the connects to a washing machine hose,I have a drip from the hose, I could try the with tape (PVA?) see if that stops it, but ideally I would like to remove the push fit fitting, Is that fairly easy to do?
Once removed I thought about putting a flexible hose on, something like:-

http://www.screwfix.com/prods/93580...ble-Hose-15mm-x-15mm-10mm-bore-500mm.Although the other end of the washing machine hose goes to something like :-

http://www.screwfix.com/prods/18071/Plumbing/Washing-Machine-Accs/Washing-Machine-Valve-Without-C-V

So would:-
http://www.screwfix.com/prods/77154/Plumbing/Flexible-Hoses/Flexible-Tap-Connector-15mm-x-0.75"x-300mm

Be better?

Would that work?

Thanks in advance

how have you got a pushfit fitting that connects to a wm hose ?
have you not got a pic ?

OK I have some pics,(Album called TAP)One is with the washing machine hose disconnected and has some sort of Brass fitting on it, the other one is with hose fitted.

Hope fully you will be able to see them, I have not uploaded pics before!

Does that help?

i see the fitting where you have removed the washing machine hose.
this will be a 3/4" bsp.
so you could use a 3/4" bsp flexi.
if your screwing the other end onto a w/m isolation tap then you'll need the other end to be 3/4" bsp to.

Thanks :D

So can I get a 3/4" bsp flexi?3/4" both ends, couldn't see them on screwfix, but there again they aren't a Plumbing Merchant.

It leaks,OK I might get away with a new rubber washer or something, but also its quite long, takes up a lot of room under the sink, and I just don't like it.

OK, I got 2 adapters 3/4" to 15mm and they said I would need washer in each end, and 15mm flexi pipe,All fitted but still leak,so I guess its either the brass connector on the push fitting (not quite sure how that is fitted, I haven't tried to tighten it up, so that might be a good starting place) OR just replace the Push fitting, so is that possible \ easy? Any instructions \ illustrations?

Thanks

Steve
