I am changing my shower from a 8 kW to a 9.5 kW. Should I get a MCB of 40A or 45 A for my consumer unit ? Also, I think i have 10mm cable supplying the shower at the moment. The diameter including the insulation on the live wire is about 6mm. Also the earth is multi stranded. I am fairly sure that it is 10mm cable but would like confirmation.

Thanks in advance.
