hi, all looking for a bit of help with regards to a valiant boiler and replacing a mixer tap, my daughters house has a valiant combi eco tech P10 boiler above the work top, with the following pipes identified on the under side, from left to right,,CH FLOW,DHW outlet, GAS SUPPLY, COLD WATER MAIN INLET, CH RETURN,, I want to change the mixer tap in the sink, i can turn of the cold water supply but im not sure how to turn off the hot water.. thinking its just drain the boiler of water but a little help would be great.. cant see any valve near the sink / boiler for the hot.

Regards..

The heating and hot water systems are kept seperate, even inside the boiler, so there's no need to do anything with the heating. Just turn off the cold mains supply as Burnerman says.

Many would take the opportunity to add a pair of isolating valves just before the new mixer, so in future you can isolate the sink mixer for maintenance, and still use the other taps in the house.
