Hi everyone ,

i have the usual enhaust problem with the megane (2.0 sport) , the rubber that holds the back box is totally perished.

i have ordered a new one from ebay (£2.50) so im hoping to sort the problem before it gets worse.

The ebay advert states; "THEY TWIST INTO THE CHASSIS AND WITH AGE BECOME PERISHED AND SNAP LEADING TO EXSPENSIVE EXHAUST DAMAGE"

so far i have managed to remove the remainder of the old rubber from the exhaust , however the old rubber stub remains in the chassis hole.

theres not much left on it so i can't really twist it out , have tried to pull it out with no luck , tried to push it in also (again with no luck).

Any ideas ?

Thanks in advance. Adam

I have cut as much as possible , the only bit remaining is the stub which i have but all the way back to the chassis.

The bit im having a problem with is the bit concealed behind the stub , the bit with the square ends on that twists into the chassis.
