hello
i need to fit a new ply/epdm roof on the conservatory, currently the joists are 4x2
but they will have to be changed to 8x2 to take the extra weight which raises the roof above where the waste pipe sits at the moment as shown in the pic
is there anyway i can change the waste to something that will allow this?
cheers

Rotate the junction 90 ° , so it sits 'on its side', should just clear the flashing. You'll then need to realign the pipework to suit. Will probably need new fittings though, chances are those will leak if disturbed.

As above comment says or come out of wall with a 90 bend and come across to where it drops and fit a branch, go straight up to roof height or fit an external durgo valve (AAV), which will save you going to roof height. Obiously carry on down to ground level as it does already.

cheers Hugh,thanks Neil
i think il go with the 90 elbow as itl look a bit neater and hopefully nothing will clog or build up
does it need a certain angle to drain or will slightly off horizontal be ok?

How about a corner branch laid on it's side, one branch through the wall, t'other pointing skywards, the 'bottom' to the right and the unused 'top' connection plugged?

An AAV isn't always a viable alternative to an open vent stack. They don't relieve positive pressures, so they can lead to sewer gases leaking into the house if used in the wrong place.

cheers Ticklyt
the corner branch i just looked at was just over £50 so i think that would work out more expensive but a nice way to do it
