Hello

I bought a new redrow house 3 years ago and want to remodel the kitchen with an island. I want to have power sockets on the island, so will need to chase out the floor screed to lay a conduit for the cables. What are my considerations here. How deep should I cut the channel? What conduits should I use etc. Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks

Any idea how deep the screed is? Generally you'll get away with chiselling out for a 25mm OD steel conduit, but do you also require other services, e.g. water or waste?

No idea really. Its a new build and i’m not sure if there any regs for screed depth, or what is under that, concrete slab i assume. I only need conduit for cable. Thanks
