I've had 3 new thermostats fitted to my cheap-rate economy7 water tank, each worked for approx 6 months. Where can I find an expert plumber/installer to fix this problem as my monthly electricity bill has trebled because I have to use the immersion?

Sorry - but do you mean three thermostats failed? Or immersion heating elements?
The thermostats slip inside the elements. You probably have two heaters, one off peak amd one "immediate"...
There are longer-lasting elements, hardly more ££ than the chepest ones.
