I'm fitting a thermostatic shower. Cold fed from the mains, hot fed from a combi boiler.

From initial research, I believe I may need to fit a check valve, possibly a double check valve. Can anyone advise which one?

Also I'm trying to find a full bore check and isolation valve all in one. Do these exist or am I just wasting time looking for them?

Cheers.

Haven't seen full bore check/iso valves but you do get low loss check valves that minimise the pressure loss. Shower is CAT3 water so a double check valve wld be required. Full bore isolation valves are easily sourced. Check that your shower doesn't have the check valves (non return) built in as a lot of them do these days

Thanks.
I read the on-line specifications for the shower and it does not mention anything about non return valves so I suspect I will have to fit them. Although I will double check on the actual specifications in the shower box.

Hi Dave
After googling RTMI and getting Return To Mysterious Island which I assume is not what you meant... what does R.T.M.I. mean?
