Hello,

In connecting a new toilet with 15mm mains pressure pipe to the toilet cistern. I am going to put an isolating valve on the "run" but wondered if it would need a check valve as well..??

Not if the cistern and fill valve have been installed correctly, the reason being that the cistern will overflow before a risk of backflow arises.
