Check valves for mixer taps

Hi,

I am installing a new sink with monoblock mixer taps, does this need to have a check valve fitted, and if so do they have to be fitted to both the hot and cold supplies?

taps hbave no requiremnet for a check valve but should have isolator valves on them. only a shower needs to have check valves to prevent syphoning waste water back into the system. hope that helps, also use full bore isolators if your water pressure is low.
