Kitchen Mixer Reduces Hot Flow By 2 Thirds - Which New Tap?

The hot flow on my gravity hot, mains cold kitchen monoblock mixer is 3.5 litres per min. I disconnected the flexi from the hot service valve under the sink, and connected a length of 15mm Speedfit pipe to the valve. The flow from the plastic pipe (outlet at same level as mixer spout) was 9 lites per min.

Therefore I have a mixer tap which is obviously designed for high pressure supplies, and is killing the hot flow by almost 2 thirds.

My question is: do I buy either a mixer suitable for low pressure (bearing in mind that cold supply is mains), or am I better off with a tap designed for unbalanced supplies?

and if you can avoid a flexi on the hot all the better

the water dosent mix till the end of the spout anyway

Get one for low pressure and balance the cold down on the isolating valve if you have one fitted.

Yes, thanks for the tip. Surprised how much that darn tap strangles the hot flow
