Sturridge's goal scoring record this season is far superior to Torres.
Torres just got 2 goals against a poor defense, Torres also missed a sitter than he would have normally put away. Those 2 goals wont mean he's back, like the press would have you believe.
Torres will always play ahead of Sturridge, as Roman bought him and wants him played every game.

Roman never went out of his way to buy Sturridge like he did with Torres. Sturridge's contract with City was out so Cheksea offered him a deal. Then Chelsea went out and loaned him to Bolton. Roman would not loan out Torres would he.
Roman signed Torres , Chelsea signed Sturridge....If that makes any sense.
He didn't pay 50 million of his hard won ill gotten fortune for him ya fool.

He was loaned out, and soon brought back when he bagged 8 goals in 12 games.
On current form, Sturridge will score goals, Torres cant hit a barn door with a shovel at the moment......But he wont be dropped because a certain Russian Tycoon wont let him be dropped!
This is going nowhere. I'll come back in a week or so when Torres has got another couple. Would happily take him not getting a couple more before now and the end of the season if he puts a shift in like he has been doing, and of course, if we do well in our two remaining cup runs and chase for 4th position
No denying he's been putting the effort in for his last few games....But hes a striker who cost £50m, his job is to score goals.
Liverpool made the sale of the century with him, if he was scoring goals left right and centre like he was with Liverpool he would have been a good buy.
