Chemical clean of system with Solar panels

Standard open-vented system on a Y-plan, with Ideal Classic boiler. Changed a TRV earlier this year, and noticed a lot of gunge in the water I drained out. Decided to carry out a chemical clean – which I’m fairly confident about – but what’s bothering me is the solar aspect of the system.

As I understand it, the solar panels on the roof simply feed a second coil in the HWC – so can I just ignore the solar installation and carry out a chemical clean as usual?
