Hi guys
so after some advice please, I have dropped my chimney breast to 10-20 mm below floor level please see pics. Plan is to level floor build a wood frame that comes out 3 inch or so and then tiled with an electric optimyst on and a beam above, however my mate said will get damp and not thought about this, plan is to self level or cement up. Asked my plasterer and he said that the damp proof was low being slate just above the floor level. Do I need to put a sheet under the screed i put on if so what’s best way can’t see can’t damp at present but don’t want to cause a problem
