Chimney Liner - Log-Burner

We've decided on a log-burner. Building Control have told us to add it to our building regs and they will sign if off, ie no need to get a specialist company in.

Are roofers asked to drop Liners down the Chimney? Has anyone done this before? I'd be grateful for any advice on getting this done.

I have dropped plenty of liners down chimneys.
