Hi,
I live in a semi-detached property, and the chimneys are back to back with the neighbours. We have a problem with the top of the chimney (apparently from a builders inspection, 8 corses down from the pot). The mortar has worn away and causes a smoke to leak from the neighbours.
The rest of the chimney seems sound.
My question is do we need a qualified Corgi registered professional, or a HETAS professional to do repairs to the stack or can we have any builder?
Also so we need planning permission to repair the stack?
Thanks in advance
