Hi im just wondering if i can take about 3omm of one side of the stack in my bedroom. Its on the the top floor and i have looked in the loft and the stack steps away from the side i need to reduce. I need to reduce to get in new bedroom furniture. The fireplace is not used downstairs or upstairs.
Any advice would be grateful Paul

You're supposed to get furniture to fit the house, not the other way round

30mm is nothing, go ahead if you can find an easy, clean way to do it

The amount of space in need is closer to 50 mm not 30 mm, Can this still be done. Any advice is grateful. Paul

A pain in the butt job, but yes it is acheivable assuming that you have a one brick wall (9") losing 2" isn't going to make a lot of difference.

Regards
