Hi.

New to this forum.

I'm trying to run some cables under chipboard flooring in a house. How to i cut access hatches and close them up securely again?

Thanks for any help.

r1 - use an Armeg solid board access cutter. 111mm (or 127mm) cuts hole & circular rebate; a circular 'band' is placed on the rebate which then accepts the cut-out disk which sits flush with the floor, thus providing access and a removable cover. The poor alternative is sawing rectangular holes, bracing below then the sawn-out rectangle sits on the bracing.

Thanks for reply. Will look into this to see how much work is involved.

Cheers.
