Good evening,

I have the above in some doors, frames and skirting board. What’s the best way to repair and paint? Can I just apply some pva to some of it, then gloss? Do I just need to re-prime? I’ve tried just glossing, and it is either soaking into the mdf, or running down it.

Don't use PVA.

The chipped MDF- you can use 2 pack filler.

Blistered MDF- sand it as flat as possible. If it is still really fluffy, I spot prime it with Zinsser BIN or Owatrol oil, to "lock" the fibres. If it isn't too bd, I use waterbased primer.
