I find it hard to understand or believe how they can do what they claim if the paint has gone down to the primer, especially with water based paint & lacquer.

Another miracle product! Many scratches are often on the lacquer coat and a mild abrasive takes them out but if the actual paint has been compromised then a spray is needed.
