choice of two old washing machines - Hoover and Philco

Which is more reliable?
Does anyone know the old Hoover Classica AC158 and whether this is better than a newer secondhand option Philco Ecotronic Softline WM 2001?
Any experience of either of these? Advice much appreciated! Many thanks.

I think I would go for the Philco, although they are not a particularly common make these days. Philco machines were mostly badged Bendix years ago and were very reliable. I think the Hoover you mention is one of the models made after Hoover was taken over by Candy. These are not as good as earlier British designed Hoovers.
