Evening all, hope this finds you all well.
Hopefully simple for you guys......
I have a length of 15mm chrome plated copper pipe. 300mm long.
One end will have a hep20 push fitting, the other will have a compression penny valve.
Do I need to take the chrome off..... both ends, one end or not at all?

Cheers all.

Chrome plated copper will not hold in a push fit fitting. You would need to remove the chrome plating. A compression fitting will be fine on chrome plated copper.

Lovely, thanks for that! Makes life really easy, the hep fitting is beneath the floor boards so I can strip more than enough of the chrome under there.

Any tips on the best way to strip it? Only thing I was going to try was a wire wheel on my bench grinder.

It doesnt take much to remove the chrome , its a very thin coating. Take care not to mishape the tube !!

Aye will do. With a brass wire wheel I figured it would just strip it like paint rather than grind it.
