Hi all.

I have just discovered these and wanted people's opinions on them.

I need to get some plumbing done later in the year, and I will need a fair few chrome compression joints as I will be using chrome pipe. I have seen these and thought they might be more reliable than having several compression joints, not to mention better looking.

Has anyone used them before? Surely if they're heated up you will melt/spoil the chrome finish on either the fitting or pipe or both?

Thanks for any help.

I would imagine you need to heat very carefully, chrome would discolour rather than char/delaminate. (I've got a chromed York. 15mm. stopcock lying around unused )
